... this one or "the Next Dimension"?
Okay, cheesy jokes done for today. >_>
Quick note to all the people I owe sketch requests to: Do not worry! All the work's been "sketched" out already; I just need to finish them up and get them scanned. They'll probably come a little slowly, since I drew them all in my 11x14" sketchbook and my scanner only fits 8.5x11" pages. I HATE I HATE I HATE having to clamp down and scan these large images twice each. I tried it with just one and IT WAS NOT FUN. >___< But yeah, as I get them scanned (one at a time, please ;__; ), you'll see them getting uploaded. I haven't forgotten you guys.
Okay, for the point of this journal: I'm looking into getting a tablet before the year is up. I've done a little research and I've figured the kind I want to go with is a Wacom Intuos, so that part's figured already. But I need help with something... which size tablet should I get? I've already asked one person about it and she's recommended getting the 4x6, but I fear getting it, 'cos it looks too small, and when I'm sketching I often make moderately large strokes with my pencil. I'm thinking of getting either the 6x8 or the 6x11; the 6x8 seems large enough, but I also have to consider the fact that I'm working with a widescreen monitor, for which the 6x11 size is apparently best for. So I'm kinda lost. :(
If any of you guys are working with tablets, could you let me know how these different sizes work out and what you would recommend? It'd really help me a lot to figure out what size I should get. The sooner I can get that figured out, the sooner I can discuss getting it with my parents. Either size tablet is ridiculously expensive, even on Amazon (though thankfully it sells for less there *whew*) and I don't think I can convince them to get it for me (even for Christmas) without pitching in a good amount of my own money to help pay for it. But hey, if it's really as good as people have said it is, and if it lasts me past my years in college, I think it'll be more than worth it. :)
So, what are your thoughts on this? What do you think I should go with? o_O;
